Naturally, a supervillain tale wouldn’t be complete without a heroic antagonist, and Nathan Fillion’s portrayal of Captain Hammer is magnificent and conceited. Much of the main dramatic tension and comedic relief comes from this love triangle, which contrasts Captain Hammer’s carefree, if somewhat superficial, life with Dr.
Of course, no supervillain story is complete without a heroic foil, and here we meet Captain Hammer, portrayed with magnificent, self-absorbed charm by Nathan Fillion. The story kicks off with Dr. Explosions, misplaced affections, and a song that had me listening to it over and over again to catch every clever rhyme are all part of the chaotic showdown at the shelter opening. With his bulging muscles and bravado, Captain Hammer intervenes, making the heist a public spectacle.
